It might seem like it’s not much, but if you’re happy with helping people it’s not a problem at all. You must be kind, caring, understanding, and open-minded. Some fields in social work do require you to travel. You are going to be traveling a lot if you’re working with active duty members of the military. The type of environment that you will work in will also depend on the field that you specialize in. You might be in a prison, a hospital, in an office, and sometimes in another person’s home.
